LectO is a free text editor that makes reading and writing easier for people with dyslexia through the use of colors, pictograms, and listening resources. It is developed by four 17-year-old Argentine students, and today it already helps more than 5k people from more than 35 countries.
Detailed features:
- Special font: use of 'Open Dyslexic', a font created for people with dyslexia.
- Colored letters: configure that each letter appears in a certain color, to differentiate confusing letters.
- Pictograms: differentiate confusing words through images that are displayed just by passing the mouse over them.
- Reading aloud: the computer reads the text aurally, with variable speed and other functions.
- Microsoft Word compatibility: it is possible to open Word files directly from the application.
- Reading of physical texts: upload images of physical texts to the application and read them with all the functions that LectO has.
